Basketball Recap: Berwick Academy's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Berwick Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against the Wheeler Warriors by a score of 63-54. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered an 87-41 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Berwick Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Daniel, who went 13 of 22 en route to 33 points and eight rebounds. The match was Daniel's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Purington, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Berwick Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Berwick Academy's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-8. As for Wheeler, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
