Softball Recap: ITW David Speer Academy Comes Up Short

ITW David Speer Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Lane Tech Champions, falling 9-1.

ITW David Speer Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Janelise Cosme, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base.

ITW David Speer Academy's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Lane Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

ITW David Speer Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Lane Tech, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-3 victory against Taft on the 3rd.
