Baseball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

For the second straight game, Rancho Cucamonga will face off against Los Osos. The Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Grizzlies at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho Cucamonga will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Rancho Cucamonga is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since March 10th on Monday. They skirted past Los Osos 3-2.

For Los Osos' part, they got a good showing from Zenen Pena, who tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pena has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Los Osos saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Yeutter, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Rancho Cucamonga pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Los Osos, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-4 record.
