Football Recap: Heritage Christian Academy Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 55-18, which was the final score in the Heritage Christian Academy Eagles's tilt against the Springwood Wildcats on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Springwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than James Do, who rushed for 133 yards on only six carries. Do's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Springwood also got a significant boost from Tucker Sides, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 96 yards.

Heritage Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Springwood, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coming up, Heritage Christian Academy will take on Southern Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Rangers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.4 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Springwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Evangel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
