Volleyball Recap: Las Cruces Takes Down La Cueva in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Las Cruces had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They came out on top against the La Cueva Bears by a score of 3-1. The Bulldawgs haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Caleigh Garcia went supernova, getting 17 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, La Cueva saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Embrey Eisele had 19 digs.

Las Cruces' win bumped their record up to 27-0. As for La Cueva, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 14 matches and leaves them with a 24-3 record.

As of now, neither Las Cruces nor the Bears have any future games scheduled.
