Basketball Recap: Motivation Snags Tenth Victory in Last 11 Games

Motivation extended their home winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Chace White. The Motivation Jaguars came out on top against the Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech Panthers by a score of 78-65 on Thursday thanks in part to White, who went 12 of 22 on his way to 31 points and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed four or more in the last six games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Looney, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 points gave him a new career-high.

Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Semaj Brown, who posted 25 points. Cedrick Brown Jr was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Motivation is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Edison at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Jules E. Mastbaum Vo-Tech also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 55.8 points per game.
