Recap: Mater Dei Knights vs. KIPP
On Friday, Mater Dei was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 44-40 to KIPP.
Mater Dei lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nick Lampe, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Garrick Winkeler, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Mater Dei's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for KIPP, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Mater Dei won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for KIPP, they will be playing at home against Gateway Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
