Basketball Recap: Pace Victorious

Pace won the last time they faced Navarre and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pace Patriots came out on top against the Navarre Raiders by a score of 43-35.

Despite the loss, Navarre saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jaleah Jones posted 15 points and five rebounds. That was a full 42.9% of Navarre's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Lacey Riley was another key player, putting up seven points.

Pace's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Navarre, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.

Pace wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 52-34 defeat against Pine Forest on the 8th. As for Navarre, they will face off against Walton at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
