Basketball Recap: Sebeka Trojans vs. Verndale Pirates

Sebeka lost against Verndale back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sebeka Trojans fell 72-62 to the Verndale Pirates. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (60), the Trojans still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, Sebeka saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Max Lake went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Trevin Lee, who posted nine points.

Sebeka has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Verndale, they pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
