Everything went their way against the Shelby Golden Lions as the East Gaston Warriors made off with a 28-1 win. East Gaston's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Payton Matthews and Parker Stafford were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Matthews pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Stafford tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Matthews has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate, Matthews scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Stafford scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
