Basketball Recap: Broaddus Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Kingston Sanders and Colton Modisette

Broaddus suffered their closest loss since December 19, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of the Martinsville Pirates by a score of 47-44. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pirates earlier this season, when they won 47-31.

Despite the defeat, Broaddus had strong showings from Colton Modisette, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 19 points, and Kingston Sanders, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Broaddus has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 21-10 record this season. As for Martinsville, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-15.

Broaddus didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-33 victory against Zavalla on the 4th. As for Martinsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, an 88-42 loss against Wells on the 4th.
