Basketball Game Preview: Flower Mound Jaguars vs. Leander Lions

Last Friday, Flower Mound ended up a good deal behind Braswell and lost 55-41. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Bengals are ranked 61st).

Meanwhile, Leander had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They breezed by the Lobos to the tune of 62-34. That looming 62-34 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Lions yet this season.

Flower Mound's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Leander, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
