 Penns Manor won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune  on Wednesday. They lost  9-3 to the West Shamokin Wolves. The  defeat   continues a  trend for Penns Manor in their matchups with West Shamokin: they've now lost nine in a row.
 Penns Manor saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Carter Smith, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with a  home run and a  double. Smith has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On West Shamokin's side,  Max Long made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out 12 batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned runs off   three  hits. Long was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Jude Olinger was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and a  triple.  Cash Brocious was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 Penns Manor's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for West Shamokin, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
 Penns Manor will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Purchase Line at 3:00  p.m. As for West Shamokin, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Penns Manor at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
