It was a good run, but Salem Hills unfortunately witnessed the end of their 15-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 13-9 to the Desert Hills Thunder. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Skyhawks, who until this game were averaging 3.9 runs allowed.

Emmery Wilson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Leila Stevenson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs.

Salem Hills' loss dropped their record down to 18-2. As for Desert Hills, they pushed their record up to 24-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Salem Hills and Desert Hills should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Utah Rankings. The Skyhawks (ranked third) will meet Wasatch (ranked 60th) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Desert Hills will take on Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (5 vs. 58).
