The Atkins Camels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. Everything went their way against Northeast Guilford as Atkins made off with a 84-62 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Atkins has posted yet this season.

Atkins' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleb Roope, who scored 18 points. Roope hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Laithan Atkins was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Despite the loss, Northeast Guilford still got an impressive performance from Dennis Fountain, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fountain has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Levi Webb, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Even though they lost, Northeast Guilford smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Atkins is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-11 record this season. As for Northeast Guilford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atkins will take on High Point Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. High Point Central is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Northeast Guilford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carlisle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Carlisle is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 69.9 points per game.
