Softball Game Preview: Sauquoit Valley Indians vs. Morrisville-Eaton Mavericks

The Sauquoit Valley Indians will head out to face off against the Morrisville-Eaton Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Sauquoit Valley will be strutting in after a win while Morrisville-Eaton will be coming in after a loss.

Sauquoit Valley gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. Everything went their way against New York Mills as they made off with a 16-8 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians considering their one-run performance the match before.

Lydia Curriere was excellent, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Jaelyn Perritano also deserves some recognition as she scored her first runs of the season.

Meanwhile, Morrisville-Eaton came up short against Hamilton on Tuesday and fell 6-3.

Sauquoit Valley now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Morrisville-Eaton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.

Sauquoit Valley couldn't quite get it done against Morrisville-Eaton in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 8-4. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
