Basketball Recap: Abilene Christian Piles Up the Points Against Covenant Classical

There's no place like home for Abilene Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They took their match on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 63-23 win over the Covenant Classical Cavaliers. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-7.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Abilene Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bryinn Waggoner, who posted eight points along with eight assists and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Camp, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Abilene Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

Abilene Christian's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Covenant Classical, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Abilene Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Covenant Classical at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. As for Covenant Classical, they will welcome Fellowship Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
