Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Jefferson Comes Up Short

If Lafayette Jefferson was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Carroll on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bronchos fell just short of the South Newton Rebels by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Bronchos were not able to make up for their loss to the Rebels from their previous meeting back in September of 2022.

South Newton found their leader in sophomore Briley Iseminger, who had 22 digs and three assists.

Lafayette Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for South Newton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lafayette Jefferson and South Newton will both be playing Cascade the next time they take the court. The Rebels will head out to face the Cadets at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Bronchos will play them later in the day, at 12:30 p.m.
