Volleyball Recap: Maroa-Forsyth Falls Despite Big Games from Diya Parekh and Jacy Ravenscraft

Maroa-Forsyth lost against Monticello back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sages. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maroa-Forsyth may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 15 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Maroa-Forsyth had strong showings from Jacy Ravenscraft, who had 21 assists and three digs, and Diya Parekh, who had six digs. Ravenscraft is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

Maroa-Forsyth now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Monticello, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Maroa-Forsyth wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Cerro Gordo/Bement on the 30th. As for Monticello, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Meridian on the 2nd.
