Soccer Game Preview: Hardin Valley Academy vs. Farragut

The Hardin Valley Academy Hawks will head out on the road to take on the Farragut Admirals at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hardin Valley Academy knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Farragut likes a good challenge.

Hardin Valley Academy's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Heritage 9-0. The result was nothing new for Hardin Valley Academy, who have now won eight contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Farragut didn't have quite enough to beat Maryville on Tuesday and fell 2-1.

Hardin Valley Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four matchups. As for Farragut, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-3-1.

Everything went Hardin Valley Academy's way against Farragut in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Hardin Valley Academy made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
