Hampton Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Dominic Phillips led the charge by scoring 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Phillips has scored all season. Braelyn Duncan was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy entered their tilt with the with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the 104-51 at home. Given Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the are ranked 962nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win makes it two in a row for Hampton Prep and bumps their season record up to 3-7. As for Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
Hampton Prep took a serious blow against the Eagles in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 99-44. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hampton Prep was down 51-20.
