Basketball Recap: Dishchii'bikoh Comes Up Short

If Dishchii'bikoh was riding high fresh off their 94-9 takedown of Seligman last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Dishchii'bikoh Wildcats were outmatched by the Rock Point Cougars and fell 66-35. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 81-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2016.

Dishchii'bikoh has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season. As for Rock Point, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dishchii'bikoh has already played their next matchup (against Valley Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rock Point will face off against Red Mesa at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Rock Point knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Red Mesa likes a good challenge.
