Soccer Game Preview: University Prep vs. Granite Falls

The University Prep Pumas will head out on the road to face off against the Granite Falls Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

University Prep is headed into the match without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Bush on Friday, sneaking past 1-0. Given University Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Bush are ranked 64th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Granite Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Non Varsity Opponent.

University Prep pushed their record up to 7-0-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Granite Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8-2.
