Volleyball Recap: Manitowoc Lutheran Snags 16th Victory in Last 17 Games + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, Manitowoc Lutheran rose to the challenge on Saturday. They blew past the Kiel Raiders 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Lancers also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2020.

While Manitowoc Lutheran won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-12.

Leading Manitowoc Lutheran to victory were Lilly Mehlhorn and Morgan Jost. Mehlhorn had ten digs and one assist, while Jost had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Mehlhorn has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Manitowoc Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kiel only served five.

Manitowoc Lutheran has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-9 record this season. As for Kiel, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Coming up, Manitowoc Lutheran will take on Brillion on Thursday. Kiel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
