Volleyball Recap: Stockton Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Aleah Daulton and Shia Roberts

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Stockton and Sarcoxie, and Sarcoxie kept the tradition alive. The Tigers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears on Thursday. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Sarcoxie scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 17-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Stockton had strong showings from Shia Roberts, who had 18 digs and four aces, and Aleah Daulton, who had 13 assists and five digs. Roberts has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Stockton's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-17-2. As for Sarcoxie, their victory ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13-3.

Stockton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lockwood on the 11th. As for Sarcoxie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against El Dorado Springs on the 11th.
