This season hasn't been kind to the Wardlaw Hartridge Rams, who are still winless after their seventh match. The New Year welcomed they with a 64-25 whooping from Metuchen on Wednesday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wardlaw Hartridge in their matchups with Metuchen: they've now lost five in a row.

Metuchen was led to victory by Ben Santus and Jason Woods. Santus scored 15 points along with three steals, while Woods scored 23 points along with six steals. The match was Woods' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Cameron Hayes-durina was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.

Wardlaw Hartridge bumped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.4 points per game. As for Metuchen, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4.

Wardlaw Hartridge will take on Spotswood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Spotswood's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches.
