Basketball Recap: Goshen Triumphs

Goshen's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They snuck past the Munster Mustangs with a 55-49 win.

It was another big night for Levi Sawatzky, who went 7 for 13 on his way to 24 points in addition to five boards and three steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Karter Marcum, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 12 points.

The victory got Goshen back to even at 4-4. As for Munster, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Goshen will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Concord at 7:45 p.m. on January 9, 2025. Munster will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Kankakee Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
