Basketball Recap: Saturday's Win Is Patagonia's Fourth in Last Five Outings

Patagonia won the last time they faced Ray, and Brianna Majalca did her part to make sure it happened again. The Patagonia Lobos pulled ahead with a 33-32 photo finish over the Ray Bearcats on Saturday thanks in part to Majalca, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 boards. She has been hot, having also posted three or more steals the last five times she's played.

Patagonia is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-12 record this season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to assists: they averaged an imposing 5.85 assists in those games compared to only 5.85 in the others. As for Ray, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.
