East Stroudsburg South triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Jaen Chatman

Recap: East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers vs. Bethlehem Catholic Hawks
Even though the East Stroudsburg South Cavaliers have not done well against the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. East Stroudsburg South secured a 59-54 W over Bethlehem Catholic. Winning may never get old, but East Stroudsburg South sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jaen Chatman was his usual excellent self, scoring 27 points along with seven assists and four steals. The contest was his eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mareek Williams, who scored 17 points.
The victory got East Stroudsburg South back to even at 4-4. As for Bethlehem Catholic, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Stroudsburg South will finish 2023 at home by hosting Wallenpaupack Area at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wallenpaupack Area is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Bethlehem Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
