Basketball Recap: Whiting Oilers vs. Highland Trojans

Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Highland Trojans, falling 75-43. The Oilers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Pack, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points along with six boards and three steals. Highland and Illiana Christian will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Illiana Christian likes a good challenge.
