Soccer Recap: Ralston Comes Up Short

Ralston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Gross Catholic Cougars, falling 4-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Ralston of the 0-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Ralston was without their leading scorer, Aundre Ratliff, in Tuesday's contest. With Ratliff sitting this one out, Bryan Ratliff got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 57.5).

Ralston's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Gross Catholic, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-6.

Coming up, Ralston will host Beatrice at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ralston are facing Beatrice at the right time seeing as Beatrice are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Gross Catholic, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Conestoga on the 26th.
