Marcelo Rodriguez posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

Rodriguez's strong effort led Doral Academy over Braddock and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
