Christopher and Branham are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Bruins at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Christopher took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Leigh by a score of 4-1.

Meanwhile, Branham hadn't done well against Pioneer recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Bruins walked away with an 11-8 win over the Mustangs. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bruins as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Troy Quam made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Branham's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-13 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, Branham let Marcus Price and Ryan Raggio run wild. Price went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double, while Raggio went 1-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Price has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Gabe Migues, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Christopher's record is now 10-11. As for Branham, their record now sits at 7-13.
