Basketball Game Preview: Farragut Admirals vs. Wells Raiders

The Farragut Admirals will take on the Wells Raiders at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing isn't great for Farragut: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Wells has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Farragut played against Butler and lost via forfeit.

Last Wednesday, Wells humbled Kelvyn Park with a 46-19 victory. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

Wells found their leader in freshman Ashanti Clark, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten boards. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Clark has scored at least a third of Wells' points. Another player making a difference was Jevae Brunson, who posted six points and five rebounds.

Wells' win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Farragut, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything came up roses for Farragut against Wells when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 48-18 victory. In that matchup, Farragut amassed a halftime lead of 28-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
