Basketball Game Preview: Breck Mustangs vs. Mankato East Cougars

The Breck Mustangs will head out to square off against the Mankato East Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Breck's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matches.

Last Friday, Breck strolled past Blake with points to spare, taking the game 66-51. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Mankato East entered their tilt with Austin on Saturday with 23 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 24. They blew past the Packers, posting an 83-33 victory. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Packers are ranked 186th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mankato East pushed their record up to 25-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.2 points over those games. As for Breck, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
