Baseball Recap: Bell Victorious

While Bell put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Legacy. The Eagles walked away with a 3-0 win over the Tigers. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.

The result came thanks to Adolfo Esquivel's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Luis Melendez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

Bell's record now sits at 17-8. As for Legacy, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-14.

Bell will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
