Preview: Fairley vs. Manassas

Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Manassas should expect quite the challenge on Thursday. They take on Fairley at 7:00 PM. The teams both are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Manassas have had to suffer through a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took their game against Hamilton last Thursday by a conclusive 22-0 score. No one put up better numbers for Manassas than senior Robert Weeks, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 56 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, after a disappointing 6 points in their last match, Fairley made sure to put some points up on the board against Memphis Academy of Health Sciences. Everything went Fairley's way against Memphis Academy of Health Sciences as they made off with a 48-22 victory. Followers of Fairley probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

Their wins bumped Manassas to 1-5 and Fairley to 5-2. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
