Volleyball Recap: Plano Takes a Loss

Plano lost against Woodstock North back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Reapers fell 2-0 to the Thunder. The Reapers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-17.

Elizabeth Hansel paced Plano's offense, picking up two kills. Hansel got some help from Camila Nunez and her two assists. Natalia Olson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Leading Woodstock North to victory were Gabby Schefke and Tayler Menzel. Schefke had 18 assists and three digs, while Menzel had six kills and four aces. Those six kills gave Menzel a new career-high.

Plano now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Woodstock North, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Plano wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Hinckley-Big Rock on the 30th. As for Woodstock North, they will square off against Johnsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
