Baseball Recap: Wakefield Memorial Comes Up Short

Wakefield Memorial lost against Burlington back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Red Devils by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by just one run.

Wakefield Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5-1. As for Burlington, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wakefield Memorial will take on rival Watertown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Burlington is set to challenge their familiar foe Wilmington at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
