Baseball Recap: Brodhead/Juda Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Brodhead/Juda, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stoughton Vikings on Saturday, sneaking past 3-1. For the Cardinals, this counts as revenge for the 11-1 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Gabe Bockhop was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was David Masloske, who earned two runs and one stolen base.

Brodhead/Juda now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Stoughton, their loss was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brodhead/Juda will head out to face off against Evansville at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stoughton, they will venture away from home to take on Whitewater at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
