Soccer Recap: Lone Star Takes a Loss

If Lone Star was feeling good fresh off their 4-0 takedown of Creekview last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lone Star Rangers lost 3-0 to the Reedy Lions on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Lions are ranked 65th).

Lone Star has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. The victory (which was Reedy's third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Coming up, Lone Star will welcome Turner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Reedy, they will head out to face off against Newman Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
