It was a good run, but Thompson unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Calera Eagles, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for Thompson seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

Thompson's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6-1. As for Calera, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5-1 record this season.

Thompson has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Westminster School at Oak Mountain on the 16th. As for Calera, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 10-0 win against Shelby County on the 16th.
