Corona del Sol is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They took a blow against Xavier College Prep, falling 70-22. While losing is never fun, the Aztecs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Gators are ranked 25th).

Meanwhile, Desert Vista unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against Millennium, falling 83-58.

Desert Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Corona del Sol, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Corona del Sol was taken down by Desert Vista 70-17 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Corona del Sol was down 47-10.
