Softball Recap: Santa Fe Demons vs. Los Lunas Tigers

They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 8-1 walloping at the hands of the Los Lunas Tigers. Santa Fe has not had much luck with Los Lunas recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Santa Fe saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leah Gutierrez, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI. Gutierrez has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive pitching appearances.
