Taylor owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Reading Blue Devils as they made off with a 7-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ellie Stafford made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 16 over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anna Prosser, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Ava Harrison also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Taylor was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .382 or higher in four consecutive matches.

Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Reading, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Taylor will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blue Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
