The Sangre de Cristo Thunderbirds won the last time they faced the Dolores Bears, and things went their way on Friday too. Sangre de Cristo took their game at home with ease, bagging a 56-26 win over Dolores. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sangre de Cristo.
Sangre de Cristo's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaydra Cordova, who scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Palma Enriquez, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds.
Sangre de Cristo's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Dolores, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Sangre de Cristo and Sargent will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Dolores, they will face off against Center at 2:40 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Center focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
