Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Wake Academy). They put the hurt on the Thales Academy Rolesville Knights with a sharp 17-2 victory on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won three contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

East Wake Academy got a massive performance out of Emma DeJoseph, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Brianna McCrea, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

East Wake Academy hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thales Academy Rolesville struck out seven times.

The win made it two in a row for East Wake Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Thales Academy Rolesville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

East Wake Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 9-2 win against American Leadership Academy-Johnston on the 9th.
