Reading has gone a perfect 3-0 against Maple Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Reading Rangers will host the Maple Valley Lions at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Tuesday, Reading ended up a good deal behind Concord and lost 39-24. The contest marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, Maple Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 63-37 to Springport. The Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-13.

Reading will need to focus on slowing down Aubree Roth, one of several Maple Valley players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 11 points and eight rebounds. Those eight boards gave Roth a new career-high. Taylor Casey was another key player, putting up six points and seven rebounds.

Even though they lost, Maple Valley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive matchups.

Maple Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Reading, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Reading against Maple Valley in their previous matchup back in January, as the team secured a 62-34 victory. Does Reading have another victory up their sleeve, or will Maple Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
