Volleyball Recap: Kankakee Valley Comes Up Short

Kankakee Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Andrean Fighting 59ers, falling 3-0. The Kougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Fighting 59ers from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 25-7.

Among those leading the charge was Khoa Dao, who had 16 digs and three assists. Those 16 digs gave him a new career-high. Patrick Rensch also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Kankakee Valley's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Andrean, their win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Kankakee Valley will challenge rival Munster at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Andrean is set to face off against their familiar foe Illiana Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
