Baseball Recap: Glenn Takes a Loss

Glenn came into this matchup off a tough eight-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Bremen Lions by a score of 5-3 on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Falcons have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Brayden Benwell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Gavin Bowman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Aaron Turnage was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Glenn and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Bremen, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

While Glenn had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
